This set depicts the Nativity scene, that of the birth of Jesus Christ. Telling the Nativity story is a Christmas tradition and is central to the celebration of Christmas. ‘Nativity’ is one of many words born of the Latin word, nativitas, which means ‘birth’. The first-ever nativity scene is attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi. He himself had recently been inspired by his visit to the Holy Land, where he'd been shown Jesus's traditional birthplace.
This set contains 16 handcrafted wooden pieces. These include Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Angel, Shepherd, 2 lambs, 1 cow, 4 trees, 3 Wise men. The packaging brown paper can be recycled and used as 'hay' for the display.
The wood used for all channapatna lac-ware products is completely safe and is 100% eco-friendly. Any irregularities on the wood are part of its natural beauty.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please clean once inside with a clean piece of cloth before using it. All lacware products must be kept in shaded areas and must avoid direct exposure to sun. Avoid impact against hard surfaces as the lac coating may chip. Please do not wash these items as they are wooden and the colour will peel. Wood being a natural material can react variedly to atmospheric changes which is beyond our control.
